After the concert in Prijedor, in cooperation with the USAID peacebuilding project “PRO-Future,” implemented by Catholic Relief Services (CRS), children from Srebrenica and Prijedor continue their concert activities and build cooperation and friendships with their peers and music professionals from our country and the region.

In addition to the children and musicians from the “House of Good Tones,” the guests at the concert are members of the choir of the Bosnian Cultural Center Prijedor, and the special guest and conductor is Gerald Wirth, president and artistic director of the Vienna Boys’ Choir.

The concert is scheduled for Wednesday, June 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the “Semberija” Cultural Center in Bijeljina.

Through a very carefully selected repertoire, which includes the most beautiful traditional songs from the countries of the region (BiH, Croatia, Serbia), classical music (Mozart, Beethoven), and evergreen popular music (Louis Armstrong, John Lennon), all participants are given the opportunity to access art and culture, thereby encouraging intercultural dialogue, understanding, and joint cooperation that will strengthen their participation and opportunities in society.

By taking part in such events, young people are given the chance to meet, exchange interests and experiences, develop social and individual identities, learn from one another, and guide each other toward creating everyday life through music, art, and culture. They also gain access to high-quality educational, cultural, and entertainment content where they develop a sense of belonging to the world of universal human values.

We also want to send a message that in smaller communities it is possible to create content that calls for positive changes within the community and conveys universal messages of trust, understanding, and responsibility of all of us for a better and more beautiful future.

Through its programs, connections with institutions and organizations, and various collaborations, the “House of Good Tones” Srebrenica strives to become a regional platform for meeting, education, and communication among young people in the Western Balkans and Europe.

For eleven full years, the “House of Good Tones” has been the best example of how music, culture, and education can rebuild destroyed bridges, create new friendships, and forge unbreakable bonds across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Europe, and the world—bonds that only children can create, sincerely and without reservation.
