At the beginning of the construction season in Croatia, the building of wooden prefabricated houses resumed for families who lost their homes following the devastating earthquake at the end of 2020.

The construction team of the “House of Good Tones” Foundation is in Croatia, where 25 wooden houses will be built this year to provide housing for families.

The “Bauern helfen Bauern” Foundation from Salzburg will finance the construction of 20 houses, while the “House of Good Tones” Foundation, with the support of the “Hilti” Foundation, will finance the construction of 5 houses.

With the joint effort and support of partners and friends, last year the “House of Good Tones” Foundation dedicated all its resources to building prefabricated houses. The goal was to support families who lost their homes by providing dignified temporary accommodation, improving their quality of life and social inclusion during these difficult times, and directly contributing to the revitalization of the earthquake-affected areas.

The earthquake struck Croatia on December 29, 2020, affecting the areas of Petrinja, Sisak, and Glina, where thousands of buildings were damaged, and many became uninhabitable.
