It all began at the “Music Summer Camp” in Srebrenica in 2018, where collaboration and friendships were established with peers and music workers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Croatia. This led to a concert at the “VatroslavLisinski” concert hall in Zagreb, and the collaboration continues to this day.

This time, with our friends from “Čarobna nota” in Niš, we will hold a concert scheduled for Wednesday, September 7, at 7:30 PM in the Symphony Orchestra Hall in Niš, featuring children from Srebrenica and Prijedor alongside the hosts.

With a carefully selected repertoire, including the most beautiful traditional songs from the region (BiH, Croatia, Serbia), classical music (Mozart, Beethoven), and evergreen popular music (Louis Armstrong, John Lennon), all participants are given the opportunity to access art and culture. This encourages intercultural dialogue, understanding, and cooperation, strengthening their participation and opportunities in society.

By participating in such events, young people have the chance to meet, share interests and experiences, develop social and individual identities, learn from each other, and contribute to creating everyday life through music, art, and culture. They gain access to quality educational, cultural, and entertainment content, developing a sense of belonging to the world of universal human values.

We also aim to send the message that it is possible to create content in smaller communities that calls for positive changes in the community and sends universal messages of trust, understanding, and shared responsibility for a better and more beautiful future.

Through its programs, connections with institutions and organizations, and collaborations, the “House of Good Tones” in Srebrenica strives to become a regional platform for the introduction, education, and communication of young people in the Western Balkans and Europe.

For eleven years, the “House of Good Tones” has been the best example of how music, culture, and education can rebuild bridges, forge new friendships, and establish unbreakable bonds across Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region, Europe, and the world, in a way that only children can – sincerely and without reservation.

The concerts in Prijedor, Bijeljina, and Niš were organized with the support and cooperation of USAID’s peacebuilding project “PRO-Budućnost,” implemented by Catholic Relief Services (CRS).Top of Form
