Another successful construction season has been completed, during which 63 prefabricated houses were built for the same number of families in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In addition to all other activities related to the projects implemented by the “House of Good Tones” Foundation Sarajevo — which we will inform you about at the end of the current year — the focus of our support and that of our partners, the “Hilti” Foundation and “Bauern helfen Bauern” from Salzburg, in Croatia this year was on assisting families who lost their homes after the earthquake. The aim was to improve their quality of life and social inclusion in these difficult times, as well as to directly contribute to the revitalization of the earthquake-affected areas.
This year, 38 prefabricated houses were built in Croatia and 25 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, all meeting the necessary conditions for decent living.
In Pala near Srebrenica, at the “House of Encounters” center, following the construction and furnishing of four houses, a conference hall with a capacity of 200 people was completed. This hall is part of a modern center that is becoming a place for training and education for young people from our country, Europe, and the world.
This year, we also had successful cooperation with the International Forum of Solidarity “Emmaus” during the construction of houses in Doboj Istok and the “House of Encounters” center.
Additionally, the city and municipal administrations of Doboj Istok, Gračanica, and Lukavac, with whom we signed cooperation agreements, provided support in building house foundations and other tasks related to obtaining permits.
We are preparing for the coming year and, together with our partners — the “Hilti” Foundation and “Bauern helfen Bauern” — we are arranging and planning activities for the next year.
